In the heart of Canton Glarus
A fascinating tour to Schabziger country.
The taxi takes us to the start of the hike. A steep ascent brings us to the Fronalppass, where the peaks of the Glarner Alps appear like a wall and give you a real mountain feeling. The lush grass and the ruminating cows on the pastures we see are the basis for the typical Glarnerziger cheese. This regional product is the oldest trademark in Switzerland and has been exported for centuries.
After another ascent we will reach Schilt, the highest point of the hike, and enjoy the splendid views. Before the path takes us down to Äugsten, where the cable car brings us down conveniently to Ennenda, we will make a stop at the romantic Beglen alp.
