Around the golden mountain (Vaud)
We won’t find Eldorado, but we will have a pleasant day in the Vaud Prealps, enjoying the mountain flora.
June is the perfect month to stroll through the meadows and enjoy the alpine flowers, with a richness and diversity almost beyond compare. After the start at la Lecherette, we’ll walk up to Anteinettes d’en Haut, and through a pleasant undulating route over meadows and moorlands to Pierre du Moëllé for a small break. With a view of the Vaud Alps, we’ll reach the Col des Mosses.
On our hike we’ll meet the milk suppliers for the famous mountain cheese L’Etivaz. Some 16,000 cheese wheels are produced every year in the various alp huts of the region.
