Hiking up and down the Ämmitaler Höger u Chräche

A day in the region where the food production and export has a long tradition.

We start  from the post office of Schangnau and climb up to the Wachthubel, our highest point at 1,400 m where we have a beautiful view of the prealps. The Wachthubel was in the old days an important point for alarm transmission and protecting the country or mobilising the troops. The path continues over meadows to Rämisgummen and down to Trubschachen, where we can visit the Kambly biscuit factory and taste their famous “Brätzeli”.
