A hike with the Glacier Express
The Glacier Express not only amazes local and foreign tourists but also transports hikers.
A short ride on the Glacier Express line brings us from Andermatt to the Operalppass, where we start our tour. First we hike up to the Fellilücke. Between small waterfalls we can find marsh areas with cotton grass. Sheep may observe our ascent attentively. Reaching the top, we have done the most strenuous part and take a look down the remote Fellital valley, and with good visibility we may even see the Rigi.
Passing bizarre a rock and scree backdrop we will reach the crystal blue Lutersee. The brave hearted may try a dip in the ice cold water. Over an old military road we will find ourselves back at the Glacier Express.
