From one lake to another
Discover the green meadows and flowers between Lakes Wägital and Sihl in the region of Einsiedeln.
The SBB trains wouldn’t run without the electricity out of the two reservoirs, Lakes Wägital and Sihl. Nevertheless, we will focus first and foremost on their beauty. The land between the two lakes allows us to admire the panorama of the neighbouring valleys as far as Lake Zurich.
The first half-hour of the hike goes along the shore of Lake Wägital before we go up the Eggstofel and further on over green meadows to the Restaurant Wildegg. Shortly after the Wildegg Lake Sihl comes into sight, and after the descent through gorge of Chilentobel we’ll soon reach Euthal, where we catch the bus back.
